Make Way For The Knight Bus

Purple is the color. And it’s magical. Make way for the Knight Bus

Devoid of any KC Hilite Daylighter fog light kit or most of the traditional auto parts, this triple decker bus captivates the soft spot especially those of kids and kid at heart.

Last summer, the Knight Bus has transcend the pages of the book to visit 37 lucky libraries in the land of the Muggles. “The Knight Bus tour is the perfect way to let fans from across the country share their Harry Potter experience as they await the conclusion of this remarkable series,” said Lisa Holton, President of Scholastic Trade and Book Fairs, Scholastic in an interview with MSNBC.

Do you read J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter Series? If you do, you must be pretty familiar with the Knight Bus. But if you don’t, here’s a nice summary. Wikipedia has this to say of the Knight Bus:

The bus functions as public transportation for the wizard or witch who cannot or will not choose another means of transportation. The riders are seemingly picked up by the bus from all over in-universe Great Britain, bringing passengers to the destinations of their choice with seemingly no set route. It bolts through the streets, entirely invisible to “Muggles” (non-magical people in Harry Potter’s world) and causes other objects to dodge it (rather than dodging the objects) for travelling short distances. For longer distances, the Knight Bus makes 160 km (hundred-mile) leaps accompanied by a great bang and jolt, possibly similar to Apparating.[citation needed] Its only limit in travelling is that it cannot enter water and the interior of the bus changes or is changed depending on the time of day, having chairs by day and beds by night.

The conductor of the Knight Bus is Stan Shunpike, and its driver is Ernie Prang in the third book of the series. In the Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban film, Stan and Ernie are accompanied by a talking shrunken head voiced by Lenny Henry.

I look forward to another Knight Bus tour. I won’t miss it for sure.

Arcee

If there’s one awesome and hot female Autobot in the Transformers First Generation, I say it’s Arcee! She belongs to a group called Maximal Female Autobots, and her vehicle alternates are Futuristic or Cybertronian Convertible Car and Transmetal Spider. How cool is that?

Even though a bunch of Female Autobots had previously been characterized in one episode of the original cartoon series, Arcee instantly turned into the most well-known female character because of her position as a chronic cast member next to her first appearance in The Transformers: The Movie.

In the Season 3 introduction, “Five Faces of Darkness”, she went together with Springer on a crucial assignment to find a sleezoid ship. The mission finally reunites them with Grimlock and Rodimus Prime.
