A Flying Car

Can you still remember Chitty Chitty Bang Bang? Well if you can recall, it is the title of a movie as well as a stage play. It has got a flying car as a huge part of it. It doesn’t have the Acura CL window motor however the parts are made to be quality and so is the production car.

The Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is actually a vintage racing car which is featured in the book and musical film of the same name. The Novel is actually written by James Bond famous writer Ian Fleming and Count Louis Zborowski in the early 1920s helped him bring the car to life and christened it “Chitty Bang Bang”.

Wikipedia says, “The Chittys were built and stored at Higham Park, Zborowski’s country house at Bridge near Canterbury in Kent. The cars were so loud that Canterbury reportedly passed a by-law prohibiting them from entering within the city walls.”

To where “Chitty Bang Bang” originated was actually not known but it was a part of a World War I song.

The Bat Cycle

Batgirl has the Batblade and both Batman and Robin got the Batcycle - a fictional personal motorcycle of comic book superhero Batman. The Batcycle is a modified street-bike with a 786 cc liquid-cooled V-4 engine. It contains a computer-controlled carburetor and bulletproof wind-guard as the Wikipedia informs. The motorcycle certainly does not have the Acura CL tornado fuel saver though.

The Batcycle is said to be shown in the 2008 superhero film as it will be directed by Christopher Nolan. But the new vehicle will be handling the new name called the Batpod. Nathan Crowley will also be designing the new batcycle. Crowley is a known designer of the Tumbler Batmobile for Batman Begins (2005). The bike has 508 millimeter front and rear tires, and the engines are located in the hubs of the wheels. The Batpod is steered by the shoulders instead of hands, and the rider’s arms are protected by shields. For the film, the bike is armed with grappling hooks, cannons, and machine guns. Six models were constructed for the film’s production to anticipate some of them crashing as the Wikipedia informs.

Batgirl Rides The Batblade

I know many of you are familiar with Batman and Robin but only a few of you recognize the BatBlade. If you can recall, when Batgirl first appeared on the movie screens in 1997, that was also when the BatBlade appeared. The role of BatGirl was played by Alicia Silverstone. The movie Batman and Robin features this particular motorcycle. The best part of the Batblade is that it can run during the most extreme weather conditions.

Of course, the motorcycle certainly does not have the Porsche headlight but is handles a 600cc, 95 HP Honda prototype and is 3.2 m long. It is supposedly made to attain 175 km/h on ice but it functions better when it was featured on the movie. The design is made to last even when exposed to difficult curves of the road.

The body of the Batblade is significant to the Batgirl as its body is specifically made for drag racers. The rear tire of the motorcycle is not actually for a two wheel vehicle but from a car. So it is really big. Originally, in the production vehicle, the motorcycle is equipped with the most gorgeous parts but on the movie, it was enhanced.

In the real world, it was made to run on smooth road but in the movie, it can run during extreme conditions. A cryonic ignition steers anti-freezes levels, so the engine can function even in temperatures under -40 degrees Celsius. No wonder it is called the Batblade.

What Is An Art Car?

Let Wikipedia.com, a reputable source of the different things you want to know about including cars, movie characters, world history, film history and many more, answer the inquiry. According to the source, an art car is a vehicle that has been modified, revamped and retuned to fit the personal choice of the owner. It is also an expression of art. Car artists usually drive their artworks and some are used in movies and television shows. These designers of art cars are sometimes called “Cartists”. You can usually see these cars in the streets displaying their very unique designs and upgrades. “Art cars and car artists come from all walks of life, uphold a wide range of personal philosophies and beliefs and come from all political groups,” the source said.

The aspect of putting art into the vehicles has no standards. There is no specific source, no specific reference but purely the imagination of the cartist that has been translated to designs and arts seen on the cars. There is no bad or good with this particular genre. Most of these designed cars are seen in movies especially in cartoons and other kid shows. These art cars are usually colorful that you would easily identify the car is owned by a cartist.

These cartists did not go through specific training. The designs you see in the cars are all self thought and self founded. Mainstream cartists are easily identified because the designs they made are closer to the designs made by automakers. These cartists are doing designs that actually give the car a different identity.

Roy Lichtenstein and Andy Warhol are just two among the well known car artists of the world. You can see their works in the BMW V12 LMR which unfortunately does not wear Acura CL headers.

The White Comet

http://www.nautiljon.com/images/perso/miniatures/Initial_D_Fourth_Stage/ryousuke_takahashi.jpg

In the Initial D manga, one of the most talented drivers for me is Ryosuke Takahashi or just Ry. He is the member of the Akagi RedSuns, a team which is known for not racing in their home course because they can’t get excited about racing on it. The team has talented drivers including his brother Keisuki, but Ry stands out because of his being an analytical driver and his amazing win streak.

In the manga, he is very popular all over Japan and has graced the covers of various racing magazines along with his brother. He admires his brother for his ability to drive without any thoughts distracting him. Meanwhile, his brother is amazed by Ry’s ability to fine tune a vehicle. He is so talented when it comes to engines that he can pinpoint what adjustments have been made to an engine just by listening to its exhaust note. He is indeed one of the few gifted drivers who are considered the total package, one who can drive well and do the mechanic stuff too. For his talent and popularity as well as being the team leader of the RedSuns, Ry has been given the moniker “Akagi’s White Comet”.

Ry drives a Mazda FC3S RX-7 which you can expect to have reliable auto parts like fuel pump which you can buy online. His personality will not be complete though without a rival. And in the Initial D, his rival is Kyouichi Suduo. According to Wikipedia: “They argued about racing theories when Ryosuke ended Kyouichi’s winning streak a year before the series’ start.”

According to the story, Ry is now in college studying medicine. Unlike his brother who is planning to become a professional driver, Ry has chosen a different profession despite his talent in racing.
