Archie’s Jalopy
The cold weather made me stay at home the entire afternoon yesterday. It’s freezing cold outside so I just sat on my Lazy Boy and watched TV with a mug of hot chocolate in hand. Reruns were boring so I decided to look for a few reading materials. Then I found a couple of Archie comics (double digest) on the shelf. I started to read, and read… I was having fun - a lot of fun!
Archie and friends are classic! I mean, they are immortal characters that embody real classic American individuals living in a harmonious community called Riverdale. The vintage setup of the story, characters and places are absolutely appealing. Wardrobes are cool and of course, nobody can beat Archie Andrews’ jalopy! Even without the coolest parts like Dodge hubcaps, it’s the most dependable vehicle he drives going to school or when he and Veronica Lodge have a big date at the Marino Yacht etc. Archie’s jalopy I think is the over-all trademark of all the vintage stuffs you see in the entire world of Archie Comics.
I finished reading two comic books in just one sitting! How about that for a bored man? Until next time!
